Well what a blessed time the month of October was and November seems to be following suit. The Lord has kept all of us here at the New Hope Shelter busy with His Work! The Walgreens Give-Away on October 11th was a huge success and were able to distribute everything we had been given to our community.
Our Annual Fall Hayride on the 26th of October was aWeSoMe! There was a good turn-out and we all enjoyed the fellowship with our community! Micah and Benjamin were in good form as they wheeled the Super M and C tractors, and the hayride participants, through the Mission Hill Area.
In both October and November we were blessed by donations of household items including furniture which has provided for many of our Crandon residents.
During the first week of November, tragedy struck one of our communities residence with fire. They were left homeless. We were able to provide emergency shelter for them in overflow beds in one of our Transitional Housing Units. We are so blessed to able to provide for them.
As of November 7th we are providing housing for 5 adult males at our main Shelter Facility, and 1 family of 2 (1 female and 1 child) , and one family of 2 (1 male and 1 female) at our Transitional Housing Units.
– God Bless and thank all of you that have been supporting us…
